Bath Maintenance

1. Fill the degreasing tank with water to two-thirds of its capacity, add the required amount of degreasing powder, stir until completely dissolved, and then top up with water to the desired volume.

2. The total alkalinity of the newly configured degreasing tank is approximately 20 points. During production, as the degreasing process continues, the materials in the tank are consumed, causing the total alkalinity to decrease accordingly. To maintain optimal degreasing performance, the degreasing powder can be replenished as needed based on titration results, adjusting the alkalinity back within the specified process range. In a 1,000-liter tank, adding 1 kg of degreasing powder will increase the total alkalinity by about 0.5 points; alternatively, dosage may be determined empirically, typically at 200–300 m² per kg.

3. After completely dissolving the degreasing powder in water, add it evenly. To keep the degreasing tank clean, promptly remove any oil film that forms on the surface of the tank liquid. If the tank liquid becomes severely contaminated, consider replacing it entirely and re‑prepare the bath.

4. The dosage of degreasing powder may be adjusted according to the material, the degree of oil contamination, and the treatment temperature and duration. For steel parts with heavy oil contamination, the dosage can be increased accordingly; for electro‑degreasing or nonferrous metals with only light oil contamination, the dosage may be reduced as appropriate.
